I want to thank the voters of Novato from the bottom of my heart for giving me the opportunity to continue serving our community.
This year, I talked with neighbors in every corner of Novato — phoning and walking door-to-door, attending community events, forums, and debates. I am impressed by how much people care about our city, and how much they are willing to contribute to our community.
To the voters of Novato: I heard you loud and clear that future buildings need to be compatible with our neighborhoods and small town character -- no more 6 story buildings! I heard your priorities -- to preserve our hillsides, ridgelines and open space, provide shopping choices that enhance our small town charm, fix our roads and improve transportation options, keep our economy and city fiscally strong, our community safe, and improve the quality of life that we are so fortunate to enjoy. Thanks to your support, that’s exactly what I intend to do.
The support of the Novato Police Association, Police Managers Association and the SF Police Officers Association was an affirmation of my conviction that the No. 1 job of government is to protect the public. Thank you for recognizing my commitment to public safety. I am also extremely grateful to have earned the support of the North Bay Labor Council and local unions because of my work to keep our local economy strong. And, thanks to the Pacific Sun for their endorsement and recognizing my ‘record of balancing a devotion to sustainable planning with budget, public safety and other needs’.
My appreciation for my wonderful volunteers is beyond words!! This victory belongs to these people who is theirs – they worked hard and tirelessly. I have always believedknow that achievements come through team efforts.
Thank you, Novato. I am committed to working for you. Public service is an honor and a privilege, and I am so grateful and proud to have earned your support.
Sincerely,
